Various Artists "Artist Compilation 2003" (Karma Recording Studio) - While the title is not likely to grab the attention of anyone who doesn't know the San Pedro-based Karma Recording Studio's facility, "Artist Compilation 2003" is a rich and rewarding collection featuring a number of the region's finest up-and-coming artists. Orange County's ranks are represented in fine fashion with stellar tracks from rock's Buchanan ("Last Thing You Need") and Wonderlove ("What It Seems"), as well as singer-songwriter SAS ("Cloud Burst") and the infectious power pop of The Dib's ("Permission"). It is rare for a compilation boasting mostly unsigned talent to have the seamless range of wonderful artists and material featured on Karma Studio's first-ever collection. All material on this compilation cd was either recorded, mixed, mastered or all of the above at Karma Recording Studio in San Pedro CA by our in house Producer/Chief Engineer "Michael Rich".

The majority of these artists are located in Long Beach CA, which is the home of some of the most incredible artists you will ever come across. Some of the talents on this comp are signed bands and their labels have given us permission to distribute this compilation.
This cd was composed by Michael Rich here at Karma Studio free of charge to the artists.

Karma Studio frequently gives free studio time to very deserving and talented yet truly starving artists. We believe that these artists need to be heard regardless of their budget to be able to record an album.

The proceeds from this compilation will go to helping us to continue this practice in the future. Because it's really all about the music and good karma.

**As of March 2004, Karma Studio was forced to close it's doors but Michael Rich continues to produce and engineer in Millbrook NY. He continues to do free projects in his down time for deserving artists such as the ones on this comp.
